I am shifting my focus from the final photograph to the experience itself and my physical presence in the landscape and in the creative process. I explore how subjective experience is formed, and through working with light, images, and drawings transformed into reliefs, I seek ways to visualize and convey the emphasis placed on the moment of observation and presen perception into the exhibition space. I am interested not in the captured image, but in the moment of observation itself: the fleeting nature of our perception, the atmosphere of a place, and the way in which space and our interpretations (precisely through photographic records, for example) shape our experiences. I work with the remedialization of my own experiences of places I regularly visit and occasionally document through drawings and photographs.

The intention is to create/illustrate a certain feeling or state that the viewer can experience upon entering the installation—that they are part of it and have the opportunity to find a moment of repose. More than specific motifs, I am concerned with the overall atmosphere of the exhibition space—with conveying an experience that canno be captured by a photograph, but only by entering it.
